Doshi Michi-no-eki
Nestled in a valley along beautiful route 413 between Tokyo / Sagamihara and Yamanashi, Doshi is one of the most amazing little talked about gems in Japan. People that love riding motorcycles are familiar with this ride. Its a fun twisty road with spectacular views of mountains, rivers, forests and small towns. It’s one of the best places to go for a medium-short ride out of Tokyo.
This Michi-no-eki is about half way between Tokyo and Lake Yamanaka. It’s a perfect spot to take a break, grab a coffee, and enjoy the beauty of the river. It’s also one of the best places to see a wide variety of motorcycle riders and bikes. I have seen everything from dual sports to Harleys, big scooters to race bikes. It is also a great meeting place for people that want to go off-roading together. Doshi has a lot of off-road areas that provide tons of fun!
Inside the shop:
The main building is a farmers market, souvenir shop and restaurant. I often buy souvenirs here but I have never eaten at the restaurant. My friends tell me the food is really good and it’s not too expensive. If you have a backpack or saddlebags, support the local community and pick up some fresh food!
